QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
3+ years of experience as a TIG/ MIG Welder/Stick
Must be able to pass a 6G weld certification test
The ability to travel (not optional)
A valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution is preferred
Experience piping with cooling towers, chillers, boilers, large roof top equipment
Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines
Utilize hand tools, plasma cutters, and metal cutting machines to measure and cut metal components
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and adhere to all OSHA safety protocols
Observes and complies with all safety and project rules, as well as all company policies and procedures
Must be detail-oriented, have a positive attitude, and be able to work as part of a team
Collaborate with team members to plan and prioritize work assignments
Set up, maintain, and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors
Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes
Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature
Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
